"UNTO THEE O LORD"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RYc1sLnsHLY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.  O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.  Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.  Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
                Psalms 25:1-5

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.  Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!
                Psalms 27:13-14

Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person.  Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.
                Psalms 31:23-24

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
                Psalms 32:1

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.  Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.  For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.  Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.
                Psalms 33:18-22

Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.  He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it only causes harm.  For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
                Psalms 37:3-9

And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.
                Psalms 39:7

I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.  He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.  He has put a new song in my mouth; Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.  Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
                Psalms 40:1-4

"WAIT ON THE LORD"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/djcg0508aWc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.
                Psalms 42:5

Why are you cast down, O my soul?  And why are you disquieted within me?  Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
                Psalms 42:11

Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
                Psalms 62:1-2

"I GO TO THE ROCK"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ev5_qIoeDrw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.  In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.  Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
                Psalms 62:5-8

"ROCK OF MY SALVATION"

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.  I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God.
                Psalms 69:2-3

That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children,  that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments;
                Psalms 78:6-7

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD;  Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.  If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?  But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.  I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope.  My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning; Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.  O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption.
                Psalms 130:1-7

The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.  The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season.  You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.  The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.  The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.  The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.
                Psalms 145:14-20

Do not say, "I will recompense evil"; Wait for the LORD, and He will save you.
                Proverbs 20:22

And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.  He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.  And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."
                Isaiah 25:7-9

"FOR GOD SO LOVED"

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.  Trust in the LORD forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.  For He brings down those who dwell on high, the lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust.  The foot shall tread it down; The feet of the poor and the steps of the needy."  The way of the just is uprightness; O Most Upright, You weigh the path of the just.  Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.  With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
                Isaiah 26:3-9

Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
                Isaiah 30:18

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,  But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
                Isaiah 40:28-31

"ON EAGLE'S WINGS"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4rRea9qnjK4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.
                Isaiah 64:4

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.  Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.  "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"   The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.  It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
                Lamentations 3:21-26

So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually.
                Hosea 12:6

Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.  Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me.  I will bear the indignation of the LORD, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.
                Micah 7:7-9

"I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.
                Acts 24:15

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
                I Corinthians 1:4-8

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
                Philippians 3:20-21

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.  You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

GOD IS LOVE

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love!
I John 4:8

OUR GOD IS FULL
 OF COMPASSION,
ABOUNDING IN GRACE,
RICH IN MERCY;
GOD IS LOVE;
AND HIS COMPASSIONS
NEVER FAIL OR CHANGE.

HIS LOVING KINDNESS
ENDURES FOREVER!

The LORD will judge His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.
                Deuteronomy 32:36

But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in Your sight. Then You abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to You again, You heard from heaven, and in Your compassion You delivered them time after time.
                Nehemiah 9:28

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
                Psalms 34:18

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
                Psalms 51:17

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
                Psalms 86:15

For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
                Psalms 100:5

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits -- Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
                Psalms 103:2-6

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
                Psalms 103:8

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.
                Psalms 103:11-14

"EAST TO WEST"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/s6zdihmwy1M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.  Glorious and majestic are His deeds, and His righteousness endures forever.  He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
                Psalms 111:2-4

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.  Then I called on the name of the LORD: "O LORD, save me!"  The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.  The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, He saved me.
                Psalms 116:3-6

"IT TOOK A MIRACLE"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gUB7PHJ3f94" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.  The LORD is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.
                Psalms 145:8-9

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
                Psalms 147:3

Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!
                Isaiah 30:18

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.
                Isaiah 49:13

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
                Isaiah 49:15-16

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.  "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.  "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
               Isaiah 55:6-9

"HEAL THEIR LAND"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_LWv9g2yIy0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

For this is what the High and Lofty One says -- He Who lives forever, Whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
                Isaiah 57:15

Has not My hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
                Isaiah 66:2

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
                Jeremiah 31:25

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.    I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him."  The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.  It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.  Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.  Let him bury his face in the dust-- there may yet be hope.  Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.  For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.  Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love.
                Lamentations 3:21-32

"GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS"
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RpRCClg8pEY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I will plant her for Myself in the land; I will show My love to the one I called 'Not my loved one. ' I will say to those called 'Not my people,' 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God.'"
                Hosea 2:23

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence.  Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from His fierce anger so that we will not perish."  When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, He had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction He had threatened.
                Jonah 3:8-10

Who is a God like You, Who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.  You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
                Micah 7:18-19

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
                Matthew 9:35-36

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
                Matthew 11:28-30

"I'D RATHER HAVE JESUS"

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick.
                Matthew 14:14

Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way."
                Matthew 15:32

Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want Me to do for you?" he asked.  "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight."  Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.
                Matthew 20:32-34

A man with leprosy came to Him and begged Him on his knees, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."  Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. "I am willing," He said. "Be clean!"  Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
                Mark 1:40-42

"I AM THAT LEPER"

Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you."
                Mark 5:19

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So He began teaching them many things.
                Mark 6:34

"The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
                Luke 4:18-19

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
                Luke 6:35-36

I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.  I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'  So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
                Luke 15:18-20

"TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS"

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
                Luke 19:10

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus.  He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as He promised long ago through his holy prophets.
                Acts 3:19-21

For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."  It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
                Romans 9:15-16

For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.
                Romans 11:32

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
                II Corinthians 1:3-4

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
                II Corinthians 8:9

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
                II Corinthians 12:9

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!

Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him?
                James 2:5

But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."  Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
                James 5:11

Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

THE GREAT, MIGHTY, AWESOME & FAITHFUL GOD OF THE BIBLE

"HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD"

Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD.  And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,  maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."                 Exodus 34: 5-7

LOSE YOUR LIFE FOR MY SAKE

"ONE LIFE TO LOSE"

<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XuQxmRTEq9I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What does it mean to you when you hear the words "Lose your life for My sake"?

What comes to your mind?

Do you think about the disciples of Christ, all of whom lost there lives by being killed for the sake of the gospel?

Maybe you think back on the time you spoke up for something you knew was true, based on your faith, and what the Bible clearly teaches, and you were made fun of, or lost your spot in the 'in crowd'?

What do you think of when you think of 'loss'?

What would be a genuine 'loss', in your life?

Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good  Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good?   No one is good but One, that is, God.  But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
He said to Him, “Which ones?”
Jesus said, " 'You shall not murder,'  'You shall not commit adultery.'  'You shall not steal,'  'You shall not bear false witness, '  'Honor your father and your mother'  and  'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'."
The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth.  What do I still lack?”
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
                Matthew 19: 16 - 22

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.    But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.   “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.    For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';   and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.’   He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.    And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.    He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
                Matthew 10: 32 - 39

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.  For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.  For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?   For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.
                Luke 9: 23 & 26

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.    Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,   each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.    If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.    If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
                I Corinthians 3: 11 - 15

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.    For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.    And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
                I John 2: 15 - 17

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.    He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
                John 12: 24 7 25

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.   Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
                Phillipians 3: 7 & 8

Christ left heaven  - Psalms 45 - Ivory Palaces - and was willing to come to this earth  AND

willing to go to the cross - Isaiah 53      AND

willing to give His life       AND

willing to become sin - He Who knew no sin - willing to become sin, that we might have the righteousness of God in Him

But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ dies for us.  Much more than, having now been JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Paul said he was 'being poured out as a drink offering'    .        .              .

Perhaps you have set priorities, based on your faith and the importance to you, of following Christ, and this has led to the loss of your job or

You have less money because you have prioritized time with your family and church, so you make do with less than you would have otherwise been able to earn and provide for your family, of this world's goods.

Perhaps you have lost a loved one to an early death - a parent or sibling or a child - and you are holding on to your faith, knowing that the loss is temporary

Perhaps to 'lose your life' means to faithfully abide in the position that God has placed you, persevering and striving to walk by the Spirit every day, every hour, trusting The Lord for the ability to control your tongue, or to be 'swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger', knowing that it is the fruit of the Spirit that really tells whether or not a person is a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible says: 'Can a sweet well provide bitter water or can a bitter well provide sweet water?!''  James 3

Perhaps you have lost your job or your business and you are trusting God anyway, though you do not understand why such difficult and painful things have happened in your life

Perhaps you have given up your rights to justice or fairness or

Perhaps you have given up your need to be rich and own and possess as much as possible, in order to prove how important you are

Perhaps your spouse has been unfair or unfaithful and you have chosen to endure this, not willing to leave your spouse, trusting God to work His work in your life and in your relationship

One way or another, you have 'lost' your life - you have accepted, while keeping your faith, while continuing to trust, less than you thought you were entitled to or felt certain you would have, in this life.

What is loss for you?

In your understanding - in your view - how have you 'lost your life for the sake of Christ'?

Or do you feel you have not 'lost your life' for the sake of Christ?  Perhaps that is what you struggle with, more than anything.  Perhaps you question or wonder or agonize, even, over this.  Perhaps there is a part of you that hopes you will have the opportunity to give your life for Christ.  Or maybe, by now, you are concerned that you may NOT have the opportunity to give your life for Christ.

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.   Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
                Matthew 7: 13 & 14

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
                John 8: 12

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
                John 6: 35

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened
                Luke 11:  9 & 10

When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
                Mark 2: 17

Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.  Now Moses, in the law, commanded  us that such should be stoned.  But what do You say?”  This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.  So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up  and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”   And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.    Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.   When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours?  Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.”   And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
                John 8: 3-11

"YOU ARE MY HIDING PLACE"

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.  But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary  and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
                Matthew 9: 35 & 36

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
                Matthew 11: 28-30

"HE WILL COME AND SAVE YOU"

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vTLiEB6EqTo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.     And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.   For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.   But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
                John 3: 18-21

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.   The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.   I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’   And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’   I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
                Luke 18: 9 - 14

As it is written:

       “ There is none righteous, no, not one;
       There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
                Romans 3: 10 & 11

But we are all like an unclean thing,
      And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
      Have taken us away.
