WALK BY FAITH

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-jJDnummQ8w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Before God flung the stars into space, He had today in mind.  He had this very week in mind.  In fact, He had you in mind.  And He knew exactly what He was going to do.  God is never at a loss to know what He is going to do in our situations.  He knows perfectly well what is best for us.

"Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear"      Isaiah 65:24

God will never lead us astray; He knows exactly where He is taking us.  Our job is to obey, to live in close fellowship with God as we walk our earthly path.  In the process of this simple arrangement, God engages us in His eternal plan.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths."                                                          Proverbs 3: 5 & 6

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about
your body, what you will put on.  Is not life more than
food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the
birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather
into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are
you not of more value than they?  Which of you by
worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

So why do you worry about clothing?  Consider the
lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil
or spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in
all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Now
if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today
is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not
much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?"
or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?"
For after all these things the Gentiles seek.  For your
heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore
do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry
about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own
trouble."                                                                                                 Matthew 6: 25-34

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer
and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests
be made known to God; and the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus."                                                        Philippians 4: 6 & 7

" .  .  .  in everything give thanks  .   .    ."                                            I Thessalonians 5:16

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen."                                                               Hebrews 11: 1

" .  .   .  Be content with such things as you have.
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor
forsake you."  So we may boldly say: 'The Lord is
my helper; I will not fear.  What can man do to me?"                      Hebrews 13: 5 & 6

"Now godliness with contentment is great gain.  For
we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain
we can carry nothing out.  And having food and
clothing, with these we shall be content."                                        I Timothy 6: 6-8

YOUR GREAT NAME

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QXH0MjGe10s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS

PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS

HE'S  MY  ROCK!

(The Lord is my Strength and my Shield - Psalm 28:7)

HE'S MY FORTRESS

(The Lord Lives!  Praise be to my Rock!  Exalted be God my Savior! - Psalm 18:46)

HE'S MY DELIVERER

IN HIM WILL I TRUST

PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS

(God is our Refuge and Strength, a Very Present Help in Trouble - Psalm 46:1)

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church.
He is the Beginning, the First Born from the dead
that in everything He might be preeminent.                  Colossians 1:18

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the Heavenly places in Christ   .    .             Ephesians 1:3

The mystery which has been hidden from ages
and from generations, but now has been
revealed to His saints.  To them God willed
to make known what are the riches of the glory
of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory.                                   Colossians 1: 26 & 27

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those
things which are above, where Christ is,
sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your
mind on things above, not on things on the
earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden
with Christ in God.  When Christ Who is our
life appears, then you also will appear with
Him in glory.                                                                    Colossians 3: 1-4

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness,
humility, meekness, longsuffering;
bearing with one another, and forgiving
one another, if anyone has a complaint
against another; even as Christ forgave
you, so you also must do.  But above
all these things put on love, which is the
bond of perfection.  And let the peace of
God rule in your hearts, to which also you
were called in one body; and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly
in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord.  And whatever you do
in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the
Father through Him.                                                       Colossians 3: 12-17

SUFFERING AND TRIALS OF LIFE: ARE THEY A BLESSING OR A CURSE?

GOD'S BLESSING AND MERCY

A person who is 35 years old probably prays differently at age 35 than when they were 14 years old.

A person who is 72 years old probably prays differently at age 72 than when they were 26 years old.

This could be partly due to the amount of life experience a person has had, and perspective gained.

BY FAITH, I BELIEVE:

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know WHAT we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

BY FAITH, I BELIEVE:

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

BY FAITH, I BELIEVE:

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

BY FAITH, I BELIEVE:

"Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect.  Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?  For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.  Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."

Part of understanding Blessings from our Heavenly Father is well communicated, I believe, in this wonderful song by Laura Story, called 'Blessings'.

I pray this song ministers to your heart.
