GET WISDOM & UNDERSTANDING

From where then does wisdom come?
And where is the place of understanding?

It is hidden from the eyes of all living,
And concealed from the birds of the air.

    Destruction and Death say,

‘We have heard a report about it with our ears.’

    God understands its way,
      And He knows its place.

For He looks to the ends of the earth,
and sees under the whole heavens,

To establish a weight for the wind,
And apportion the waters by measure.

When He made a law for the rain,
And a path for the thunderbolt,

    Then He saw wisdom and declared it;
He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.

     And to man He said,

‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
And to depart from evil is understanding.’

                Job 28:20-28

The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.  And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand.
                Genesis 39:2-3

The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.
                Genesis 39:23

And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
                Deuteronomy 8:18

Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
                Deuteronomy 29:9

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.  This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
                Joshua 1:7-9

The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.  The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory.  For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and He has set the world upon them.  He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked shall be silent in darkness. "For by strength no man shall prevail.
                I Samuel 2:6-9

And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the LORD and men.
                I Samuel 2:26

And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him.
                I Samuel 18:14

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."
                II Chronicles 16:9

Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.  And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.  He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper.
                II Chronicles 26:3-5

Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the LORD his God.  And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.
                II Chronicles 31:20-21

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.  He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
                Psalms 2:11-12

For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
                Psalms 5:12

"SHIELD ABOUT ME"

Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."
                Psalms 35:27

For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.  But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.
                Psalms 75:6-7

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.  Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.  In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted.  For You are the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn is exalted.
                Psalms 89:14-17

Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times!
                Psalms 106:3

The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.
                Psalms 147:11

For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
                Psalms 149:4

For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.  He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
                Proverbs 2:6-8

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
                Proverbs 3:3-6

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom.  And in all your getting, get understanding.

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
                Proverbs 4:18

Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways.  Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it.  Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.  For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD;

A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but a man of wicked intentions He will condemn.
                Proverbs 12:2

In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil.  When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.  Better is a little with righteousness, than vast revenues without justice.  A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.
                Proverbs 16:6-9

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.
                Proverbs 22:1

"Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?  Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?  Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.  Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' "If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,  If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.  The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.  Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.  If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,  Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken."

Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;  But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD.

'They shall be My people, and I will be their God;  Then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.  Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.'  For thus says the LORD: 'Just as I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.'

                Hosea 6:6

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
                Matthew 6:31-33

Jesus said to him, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
                Matthews 25:23

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
                Luke 2:52

But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
                Luke 11:28

Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.  And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him."
