GOD IS LOVE

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love!
I John 4:8

OUR GOD IS FULL
 OF COMPASSION,
ABOUNDING IN GRACE,
RICH IN MERCY;
GOD IS LOVE;
AND HIS COMPASSIONS
NEVER FAIL OR CHANGE.

HIS LOVING KINDNESS
ENDURES FOREVER!

The LORD will judge His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.
                Deuteronomy 32:36

But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in Your sight. Then You abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to You again, You heard from heaven, and in Your compassion You delivered them time after time.
                Nehemiah 9:28

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
                Psalms 34:18

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
                Psalms 51:17

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
                Psalms 86:15

For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
                Psalms 100:5

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits -- Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
                Psalms 103:2-6

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
                Psalms 103:8

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.
                Psalms 103:11-14

Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.  Glorious and majestic are His deeds, and His righteousness endures forever.  He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
                Psalms 111:2-4

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.  Then I called on the name of the LORD: "O LORD, save me!"  The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.  The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, He saved me.
                Psalms 116:3-6

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.  The LORD is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.
                Psalms 145:8-9

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
                Psalms 147:3

Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!
                Isaiah 30:18

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.
                Isaiah 49:13

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
                Isaiah 49:15-16

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.  "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.  "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
               Isaiah 55:6-9

For this is what the High and Lofty One says -- He Who lives forever, Whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
                Isaiah 57:15

Has not My hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
                Isaiah 66:2

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
                Jeremiah 31:25

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.    I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him."  The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.  It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.  Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.  Let him bury his face in the dust-- there may yet be hope.  Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.  For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.  Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love.
                Lamentations 3:21-32

"GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS"

I will plant her for Myself in the land; I will show My love to the one I called 'Not my loved one. ' I will say to those called 'Not my people,' 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God.'"
                Hosea 2:23

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence.  Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from His fierce anger so that we will not perish."  When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, He had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction He had threatened.
                Jonah 3:8-10

Who is a God like You, Who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.  You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
                Micah 7:18-19

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
                Matthew 9:35-36

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
                Matthew 11:28-30

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick.
                Matthew 14:14

Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way."
                Matthew 15:32

Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want Me to do for you?" he asked.  "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight."  Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.
                Matthew 20:32-34

A man with leprosy came to Him and begged Him on his knees, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."  Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. "I am willing," He said. "Be clean!"  Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
                Mark 1:40-42

Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you."
                Mark 5:19

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So He began teaching them many things.
                Mark 6:34

"The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
                Luke 4:18-19

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
                Luke 6:35-36

I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.  I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'  So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
                Luke 15:18-20

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
                Luke 19:10

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus.  He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as He promised long ago through his holy prophets.
                Acts 3:19-21

For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."  It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
                Romans 9:15-16

For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.
                Romans 11:32

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
                II Corinthians 1:3-4

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
                II Corinthians 8:9

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
                II Corinthians 12:9

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
                Philippians 2:4-9

Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him?
                James 2:5

But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."  Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
                James 5:11

Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

Though trials may come,

Let this blessed assurance control.

That Christ has regarded

my helpless estate,

and

HAS SHED HIS OWN BLOOD
