 Save me, O God!
         For the waters have come up to my neck.
    I sink in deep mire,
         Where there is no standing;
         I have come into deep waters,
         Where the floods overflow me.
    I am weary with my crying;
         My throat is dry;
         My eyes fail while I wait for my God. 

                Psalm 69:1-3





   But as for me, my prayer is to You,
         O LORD, in the acceptable time;
         O God, in the multitude of Your mercy,
         Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.
    Deliver me out of the mire,
         And let me not sink;
         Let me be delivered from those who hate me,
         And out of the deep waters.
    Let not the floodwater overflow me,
         Nor let the deep swallow me up;
         And let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
                Psalm 69:13-15





    Hear me, O LORD, for Your lovingkindness is good;
         Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.
    And do not hide Your face from Your servant,
         For I am in trouble;
         Hear me speedily.
    Draw near to my soul, and redeem it;
         Deliver me because of my enemies.

                Psalm 69:16-18





    But I am poor and sorrowful;
         Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high.
    I will praise the name of God with a song,
         And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
    This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull,
         Which has horns and hooves.
    The humble shall see this and be glad;
         And you who seek God, your hearts shall live.
    For the LORD hears the poor,
         And does not despise His prisoners.
                Psalm 69:29-33





   Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
         Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
         By His name YAH,
         And rejoice before Him.
       
   A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
         Is God in His holy habitation.
   God sets the solitary in families;
         He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
         But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
                Psalm 68:4-6





   O God, You are my God;
         Early will I seek You;
         My soul thirsts for You;
         My flesh longs for You
         In a dry and thirsty land
         Where there is no water.
   So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
         To see Your power and Your glory.
       
   Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
         My lips shall praise You.
   Thus I will bless You while I live;
         I will lift up my hands in Your name.
   My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
         And my mouth shall praiseYou with joyful lips.
       
   When I remember You on my bed,
         I meditate on You in the night watches.
   Because You have been my help,
         Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
   My soul follows close behind You;
         Your right hand upholds me.

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.  And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts
